Biography

I have an undergraduate degree in physics and a PhD in optoelectronics.

I have been working at Cambridge University since 2002, first as a research associate in electrical engineering and then as programme manager and MRes course director of the CamBridgeSens Strategic Network and the Centre for Doctoral Training in Sensor Technologies and Applications.

I am now also working part-time at the Institute of Continuing Education.

Research interests

My broad research interest is sensing. How do we use sensors to make informed decisions?
I am particularly interested in low-cost sensors, e.g. those using Arduino microcontrollers or Raspberri Pi mini computers.
