Closing date:
Monday, 1 April 2024

Department of Pathology, Central Cambridge

Join our team as a Bioinformatician!

The McGovern lab is seeking a talented and motivated Bioinformatics Research Associate to join their research group. Our research aims to understand how mononuclear phagocyte biology is altered in disease.

The McGovern Lab:

Our team focuses on characterising human mononuclear phagocytes, crucial immune cells distributed across all tissues in the body. These cells perform vital roles in tissue development and function, fighting infection and resolving inflammation. We utilise a range of technologies to develop our understanding of the ontogeny and function of these cells including proteomic, transcriptomic and epigenetic approaches. We utilise cells isolated from primary human tissue samples and organoid systems. As part of our team, you will contribute to ground-breaking research in understanding the properties of mononuclear phagocytes in both health and disease.
