Assistant Professor in Cognitive Neuroscience (and Course Director of the MPhil in Cognitive Neuroscience)
Department of Psychiatry
The Department of Psychiatry and MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit (CBU) at the University of Cambridge are looking to appoint a skilled cognitive neuroscientist. This person will be an exceptional scientist, with an international standing and the vision lead a new Master's course in cognitive neuroscience.
This new role will be at the Assistant Professor level (Grade 9). We particularly encourage women and/or candidates from a Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic background to apply for these vacancies as they are currently under-represented at this level within the University.
The successful candidate will hold an established post within the Department of Psychiatry, and build a research programme within the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit. Across the two institutions we want to build on our combined strengths in cognitive neuroscience. The post-holder will take full advantage of the excellent facilities for behavioural experiments, multimodal neuroimaging (including on site MRI, EEG and MEG), neurostimulation, computational and mathematical modelling. Together, the Department and Unit intend to strengthen their unique tradition of embracing the symbiotic relationship between fundamental and applied research, particularly in the realms of mental health, clinical neuroscience and education.
