Programme Manager for the Centre for Data Driven Discovery [Temporary Cover]
Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics
We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable candidate for the role of Programme Manager for the Cambridge Centre for Data-Driven Discovery (C2D3) Interdisciplinary Research Centre. C2D3 provides an overarching data science and AI organisation at the University to support a virtual community, connecting members from across all six University Schools.
We are recruiting a Programme Manager (maternity cover, temporary cover) to be appointed to start as soon as possible. This is a fixed term maternity cover role for 12 months or until the return of the postholder, whichever is earlier.
The Programme Manager is responsible for the management and operation of C2D3, the delivery of strategic direction of the Centre, and management of complex international projects. The Programme Manager is the key contact for internal communities and serves as a gateway to the University for external communities. Developing and managing relationships with stakeholders within and outside the University is an important aspect of the role, as is taking an active role in communicating and promoting the activities of the Centre. The role requires experience and strong skills in all aspects of programme management and project management, preferably with experience in academic or research institute settings. The role must navigate complex processes in order to deliver projects from initiation to closure, motivating and inspiring the project team to meet the deliverables, and supporting contract negotiations between the funder and University. Projects may be funded by fast paced and dynamic sources.
