Research Programme Manager

We are seeking a Research Programme Manager for the new Centre for Landscape Regeneration. The role holder will manage the operations of the new Centre, with their main task being to programme manage "UCam-Regen: Landscape Regeneration Solutions to the Interlinked Extinction and Climate Crises that support Sustainable Development", a five-year multi-disciplinary £10 million programme supported by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC). UCam-Regen is a flagship programme of Cambridge Zero and the Cambridge Conservation Initiative. The aim of the programme is to make a demonstrable difference to the way landscape restoration is designed, implemented, scaled up and supported by policy, ensuring solutions are resilient, inclusive and sustainable.
The purpose of the role is to realise Cambridge Zero's potential in leveraging manage the delivery of the UCam-Regen programme, and to foster relevant partnerships across the University and with all relevant external stakeholders and research funders to develop a multidisciplinary research programmeportfolio for the Centre for Landscape Regeneration. This role requires a strategic thinker with the operational capability and experience to implement strategy and a strong understanding of building and maintaining strategic relationships. UCam-Regen has 35 academics and numerous postdocs and PhD students involved, mostly employed by Cambridge University, but also involving staff at the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology.
