Restricted Call: NERC Strategic Capital Call 2020

Further to the pre-announcement of this call circulated on 13 July, we can confirm that the NERC call document for Strategic Capital Call 2020 has now been published.

This call will fund proposals for (1) strategic equipment or (2) development of built infrastructure that creates a new research capability. A total of up to £10M will be made available through this call. Applicants may request capital funding between £500K and £1.5M; applicants requesting more than £1M must obtain approval from NERC before submission. Applications must fit NERC’s definition for capital and support NERC’s environmental science remit.

The funding duration will be 2020/21 - 2022/23. Resource will not be funded. Successful proposals will be awarded at 100% of the cost of the proposed capital asset.
