Turing Internship Network (TIN)
Deadline has been extended
The Turing Internship Network is designed in collaboration with our business partners and in the aim of enhancing our training offering for doctoral students.
The Turing organises and facilitates matching between internship projects and potential applicants for the Turing Internship Network (TIN). The business partners (here, the TIN partners) will directly host, supervise, and pay the successful interns. The internships will be held remotely with the possibility of office visits, and potential relocation to the offices of the TIN partner if the government guidance changes to encourage going in to work.
The Turing Internship Network provides a fantastic opportunity for doctoral students to rapidly develop their academic skills in a real-world business setting. The scheme is currently dedicated to doctoral students who hold the right to work in the United Kingdom and whose doctoral studies involve a heavy component on data science, AI, mathematics and/or statistics. The internships duration is 4-6 months and the interns will have to pause their doctoral work for the time they undertake the TIN employment.
The following partners are currently offering internship positions:
- Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) – strategic partner already collaborating with the Defence and Security programme
- National Centre of Cyber Security (NCSC) – GCHQ subdivision working with the Turing on Defence and Security projects
- Transport Research Labs (TRL) – business collaborator on the Urban Analytics programme
