Good Practices for Reproducible Open Source Code
University of Cambridge event

Tue, 25 Mar 2025 3:45 PM - 6:00 PM

Location
CGC Seminar Room (upstairs) Cambridge Graphene Centre

The workshop aims at teaching good practices for making readable and reproducible python code, covering package structure, code formatting and linting, dependency management with poetry, testing, and licensing.

We have invited a Senior Software Engineer to come give a short lecture on the topic, which will be followed by a hands-on lab where the attendees will reorganise a messy code base using the taught good practices and tools. Mastering these skills can allow increased collaborations with other developers, increased code quality, and more transparency in research.

The workshop is open to all, more information about the session and registration can be found at this link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/transferable-skills-workshop-using-reproducible-open-source-code-tickets-1277135910889?aff=oddtdtcreator&keep_tld=1
