C2D3 Events and Communications Coordinator
A position exists for a Events and Communications Coordinator in Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics to work in the Cambridge Centre for Data-Driven Discovery (C2D3).
C2D3 is one of a select group of Interdisciplinary Research Centres (IRC) at the University of Cambridge. IRC programmes build on areas of existing research strength by bringing together a critical mass of expertise from across the Schools. C2D3 provides overarching data science and AI organisation at the University to support a virtual community. The University-wide community connects members from across all six University Schools of Arts and Humanities, Biological Sciences, Clinical Medicine, Humanities and Social Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Technology.
The role is responsible for providing administrative, communications and events support for the day-to-day aspects of running of C2D3. C2D3 links the activities of more than 500 students, researchers and academics working in research relating to data science and AI, at all career levels and across more than 50 departments and faculties.
The role is responsible for organising a variety of events (for example: meetings, workshops and conferences), and for developing website resources, newsletter and social media communications, and promotional materials. The individual will assist with networking and promoting relevant research opportunities and information to encourage a flourishing research community.
The role supports the C2D3 Coordinator and C2D3 team to ensure timely delivery of documentation and that information is provided accurately and efficiently, including involvement in committee meetings. The role holder will engage with C2D3 stakeholders from across research, industry and government and is expected to be able to communicate clearly and understand their needs and wishes.
