Coordinated call: UKRI Centre in Climate Change and Health

Closing date:
Thursday, 16 February 2023

UKRI will announce a funding call for a single national Centre for Climate Change and Health in February 2023, with a deadline in May 2023. The funding available is £5-9.7M, on 80% fEC basis for 5 years.

UKRI is looking for a centre that will address the challenges that climate change poses to population health, in a way that enhances both environmental and health outcomes. The centre should consider the potential for climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies to have positive impacts on both health and the environment. UKRI expects the funded centre to include inequality as a cross cutting theme. More information is available on the call webpage and further detail will be available when the call is announced.

Research Strategy Office is working with Cambridge Zero to facilitate discussions about the University of Cambridge response to this funding call. We are inviting interested researchers to submit Expression of Interest to contribute to an institutional response to this funding call. Once the call is announced, a workshop with all interested researchers will be facilitated to discuss how we may respond.

If you are interested in leading or contribution to an institutional proposal, please review the call information and submit the Expression of Interest by 16 February 2023
