Department of Public Health and Primary Care, Cardiovascular Epidemiology Unit

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new analytical and methodological role in the Cardiovascular Epidemiology Unit (CEU), Department of Public Health and Primary Care.

The post-holder will contribute to the development and application of analytical methods (including statistics, machine learning and/or AI) to address major population health questions related to the prevention of multiple chronic diseases (including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancers and chronic kidney disease). This will involve deriving and validating new risk prediction models, performing cost-effectiveness evaluations through simulation modelling, and designing and conducting proof-of-principle randomised controlled trials.
