Department of Land Economy

Applications are invited for the Full-time Research Associate position for a year to support the research agenda of the Centre for Resilience and Sustainable Development in the Department of Land Economy. The Centre is led by Dr Nazia M Habib, FRSA and managed by a small group of academics. As a part of the team, you will be working on a variety of global projects with focus on good governance, sustainable investment, and responsible innovation themes in the context of climate change, sustainable development and equitable resilience. You will also engage in team efforts to apply for grants, write reports, publish outcomes, manage projects and deliver them. This post-doc job will offer global exposure, for example, in 2022 alone, 37 developing countries will benefit from the research outcome of the Centre.

Candidates should have earned a PhD degree with a focus on using their research to improve the welfare of humanity and the planet. The disciplinary boundary does not matter much, as long as the skills are there. A successful candidate can come from any number of the disciplines below: Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Sustainability Science, International Finance, Quantitative Financial, Geographical, Economic Geography, Data science, Public Policy, International Law and Business Management with mixed-method research and publication experience.
