The MRC Biostatistics Unit in the School of Clinical Medicine invites applications for a Senior Teaching Associate (60 - 100% FTE) to join our team. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in supporting, developing, and delivering engaging and effective post-graduate education across a range of themes covering health data sciences, epidemiology, and infectious diseases within our highly regarded Master of Philosophy in Population Health Sciences (MPhil in PHS) programme. This programme attracts outstanding students from around the globe, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to the training of future leaders in population health.
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our world class faculty and contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching in epidemiology, biostatistics, and infectious diseases. The successful candidate will collaborate with diverse departments and units to design and implement teaching curricula and assessments, supervise master's-level dissertation projects, and develop innovative teaching methods and technologies. The role also involves supporting both our admissions processes and our quality assurance strategies.
You will work within a cohesive administrative team, led by the Course Director, and supported by other academics, education professionals and administrators. Ideal candidates will possess a PhD in a relevant quantitative discipline, and postgraduate-level expertise in epidemiology, biostatistics, health data sciences, or infectious disease modelling, with proficiency in R/R Studio programming.
