The Turing Internship Network - PhD Internship Opportunities

Closing date:
Wednesday, 7 June 2023

Now recruiting for the 6th time since its launch in 2020, The Turing Internship Network (TIN) offers doctoral students currently enrolled in a PhD at a university in the UK or Ireland the opportunity to undertake exciting and unique 3–6-month placements at one of the Turing’s business partners and collaborators. Through TIN internships students will apply their research expertise and technical skills to tackle real-world challenges and gain new skills in a business setting.

In this recruitment round TIN offers 12 paid internship opportunities in areas of research spanning from efficiency improvements for machine learning models and detection of harmful memes online to linking government data to reduce reoffending.

For the first time in this round, we are also offering a brand new role at the Cyber Defence Research Centre at the Alan Turing Institute whose project is focused on reinforcement learning for the security of computer networks and systems.

You are invited to join our Information Session: Applying to the Turing Internship Network taking place on the 16 May, at 3:30 PM. Join this session to ask questions directly to the Turing Applied Skills team and get helpful hints on how to write a successful application.
